• No Armlocks or strangles to categories under the weight of 55kg
  • No drop Seoi Nage in any categories
  • No leg or ankle grabs
  • No Kubi Nage (attempted throw where the neck is trapped or restricted)
  • It must be understood that the JFAUK recognises that the following recommended weight categories will structure the age difference between primary and juniors and that in fact, we do not separate primary from junior in competitions. There is only one weight, there is only one category. But In cases where too many children are of one category, a division may be made whereupon two separate categories may be produced to determine separate finalists. The above concept may be applied to all categories; this will simplify and encourage children to participate in competition.
