Shido is awarded against the contestant for the following infringements:

When a contestant avoids taking hold, and prevents for the contest to commence contest.

When a contestant adopts a standing position with excessively defensive posture, for a lengthy time. Generallymore than 4 seconds.

When a Contestant does not engage in attacking.

Contestant attempts an invalid technique.

Contestant deliberately grabs their opponent’s belt with one or both hands, preventing contest.

Contestant uses both hands to hold onto the opponent’s collar lapel or jacket on the same side withoutattacking.

Contestant uses both hands to hold on to the sleeves of their opponent.

To continually hold the end of the sleeve end of an opponent in a negative defensive purpose.

To insert their fingers inside the opponents sleeves or trousers.

To hold either the cuffs or sleeves and twist to entrap the wrist in order to prevent an opponent from taking aproper grip and preventing judo to take place.

Deliberately grabbing, bending, holding or twisting the fingers of an opponent.

For a contestant to intentionally disarrange the Judogi, or to tie and untie their belt or trousers without theperdition of the referee, and of wasting contest time.

To hold or take any part of the opponents jacket with the mouth. To deliberately place a hand or foot directlyto an opponent’s face

To deliberately pull their opponents hair To bite opponent.

Deliberately grabbing an opponent’s foot or leg without attempting a technique simultaneously.

To deliberately break their opponents grip aggressively on repeated occasions.

Keep pulling downwards in an aggressive manor without attempting a technique.

To hold the opponents with outstretched arms, or stiff arms as to prevent the opponent from attacking andcreating judo.

Applying any pressure to the neck or spine of an opponent, i.e. overstretching opponent’s spine or putting bothlegs around the opponents neck.

To apply any leg locks, Loss of temper or the use of bad language.

Failed foot sweeping, which results to Kicking.

Deliberately pushing onto the face.

To break opponents grip by means of kicking or by using the knee or leg.

To deliberately keep pushing opponent out of the contest area.

To attack opponent with Morote-Gari (Both arm and leg grab).

To apply any action which deemed to be dangerous, and a possibly cause to injury.

To undertake any action which is undermines to the spirit of judo.
