Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Checks
All Martial Art Instructors and volunteer helpers who deal with children and/or vulnerable adults on a regular basis must have a DBS Enhanced Disclosure.
This enables the employer or Organisation to check the suitability for working with the above people. DBS disclosure checks can now be processed online and your documents checked at the Post office, (so never out of your possession).
JFAUK is legally bound by the DBS code on the keeping of information and is registered with the ICO for data protection.
Please contact us to make an application or for further instructions on DBS Enhanced disclosure application.
Our reference number is: 101516
Please Note:
Enhanced Disclosures: This is the highest level of check available to anyone involved in regularly caring for, training, supervising or being in sole charge of children or vulnerable adults. It is also available for certain licensing purposes and judicial appointments.
Enhanced Disclosures show current and spent convictions, cautions, reprimands and warnings held on the Police National Computer; if the post involves working with children or vulnerable adults, the following may also be searched:
- The Children’s Barred List.
- The Vulnerable Adults Barred List.
- Chief Constables may reveal non-conviction information should they consider it relevant to the application.
- Enhanced Disclosures are turned around in 4 – 6 weeks but can take longer depending on the Police Force.
