Throwing Techniques

Demonstrate the following throwing techniques while Uke is stationary, and then again whilst moving:

• Tai Otoshi – Body drop
• Morote Seoi Nage – Double handed shoulder throw
• Harai Goshi – Sweeping hip

Groundwork Techniques

Demonstrate the following groundwork techniques:

Kuzure Kami Shiho Gatame – Broken upper four quarters
Ude Garame –Entangled arm lock
Kata Gatame – Shoulder hold

Combination techniques

Demonstrate the following combination techniques, throwing into groundwork:

• Tai Otoshi into Kuzure Kami Shiho Gatame
• Morote Seoi Nage into Ude Garame
• Harai Goshi into Kata Gatame

Translations

Translate and explain the meaning of the following Judo terminology:

• Osae Komi
• Rei
• Mokuso
• Toketa
• Mate

General Assessment

Assessment will be also be based on the following:

• Ukemi
• Randori
• Attendance
• Exercise and the students’ general behaviour and etiquette
