JFAUK Midland Area Representative Dave Hammond (5th Dan) has recently published a new book titled “Applying the Right Amount of Force”.

The distillation of years of study and practice of Judo, this book will be a real eye-opener for anybody that mistakenly thinks of Judo being first and foremost a sport.

Thoroughly researched, Applying the Right Amount of Force charts the use of Judo as a tool for controlling an adversary in a real fight.

Judo, as it’s founder Dr Jigoro Kano pointed out, is “the study of techniques with which you may kill if you wish to kill, injure if you wish to injure, subdue if you wish to subdue and, when attacked, defend yourself.”
