The 2015 North London Closed Junior Championships recently took place the Sobell leisure centre. Various JFAUK clubs from across the country took the time to travel to the Sobell Centre to take part in shiai. This event was a friendly tournament which was focused on the technical development on judoka as opposed to focusing on competitive medal placings. All who were at the event commended the warm atmosphere which enabled all judoka, experienced or not, to comfortably enjoy the contest environment. Although a junior competition, friendly open weight Kyu & Dan grade categories were put together for those adults who travelled down with their kids to have a relaxed contest in the spirit of judo. This event was also a development platform for upcoming referee’s to practice their skills recently learnt at the level 1 refereeing course. Thank you to all who took part and made this event a success.
