JFAUK proved once again that they are leaders in traditional judo. This years Marathon Shochugeiko was indeed outstanding. Starting at 9:30am and finishing at 4pm only stopping for hydration, this course really tested each participants budo spirit. At the same time this course furthered everybodys judo education which saw JFAUK president and Sobell head instructor Sampson Sampson (8th Dan) yet again showing and igniting new techniques. Our technical coach Farid Namouchi (5th Dan) also showed some fantastic ne-waza techniques. Every participant worked hard and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Thank you to all who traveled down from various corners of Great Britain to take part in the event. Sobell also congratulates Chris Cooper on his promotion to 5th Dan.

“The amazing techniques shown were of a different class and the standard of judoka taking part were to a very high standard” – J.Baird (1st Dan)

“7 hours of incredible spiritual judo shown by everyone involved!” – K.Summerbell (1st Kyu)
