This weekend saw the 2015 Scarborough Summer School take place. This is the first time the summer school has taken place in Scarborough since being relocated from the Scottish borders. The course consisted of three days of fantastic traditional training lead by Sampson Sampson (8th Dan), Farid Namouchi (5th Dan) and Dave Hammond (4th Dan). The course not only showed fantastic techniques that fully utilised movement and Kyushindo in judo, but also focused on showing innovative training methods and excersises to further improve each judoka’s training. At the end of the weekends training an examination also took place and JFAUK would like to congratulate all who passed their grading. In between the judo there was a great social atmosphere with trip’s and barbeques at Scarborough’s beautiful seafront!
