A fantastic day for the JFAUK at the 2023 World Sports Games!
After a long day of fighting, our judoka managed to secure multiple medals across their respective weight categories.

(-66kg) Justine Reyes – Bronze 
(-73kg) Sam Charalambous – 5th (-81kg) Lucian Buleandra – Bronze (-90kg) Mahdi Boettenbach – Silver 
Also travelling with the team was Sam Sampson, who was representing Cyprus and also managed to secure a bronze medal at -81kg 
A truly fantastic set of results at a very tough competition, full of high level judoka. At this level, it would be very easy to come away from these events unplaced, so we are very proud of our team managing to secure placings in every category
A big thank you to our president Sampson Sampson for taking the time to bring our judoka to this event and give them the opportunity to compete at this level
